F/V CHIRIKOF 9" X " 12"
Fishing vessel Chirikof built in 1974 in Seattle by the Marine Construction and Design Company (MARCO) for the Wards Cove packing company of Ketchikan, Alaska.
The hulls of this steel seiner and her sister ships were welded upside down, then turned upright to be completed. All of the Marco boats of this design were originally painted blue, earning them the moniker "Blue Canoes".
The Chirikof and several of her sister ships are now owned by a prominent fishing family of Craig, Alaska.
