The steel fishing vessel quandary was built in 1958 as the Dora R as a seiner/crabber for Rubenstein, the owner of Whitney Fidalgo Seafoods. It sank in 1972 in Peril Strait, and was immediately raised and refurbished. Renamed the Quandary by its owner and operator Tom Pawlak, it is now the pride of the fishing fleet of its homeport, Vail, Colorado.
